Shelby Gibson serves as a Clinical/Translational Research Coordinator II for the CIBS Long Term Outcomes Team, where she engages in tasks related to the long-term cognitive, physical, and emotional outcomes in survivors of critical illness. She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Tennesse at Chattanooga and a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a certificate in Trauma Counseling from Richmont Graduate University. She spent her graduate internship in a private therapy practice treating clients with a wide range of mental health disorders, primarily working alongside clients who have experienced traumatic life events. Shelby is also a Pilates instructor and teaches early morning classes before coming to the CIBS Center.
