Karen Sheppard, RN
Karen Sheppard, RN joined the Center for Critical Illness, Brain dysfunction & Survivorship in 2016. Prior to beginning her research career she had worked at the bedside, caring for patients in the medical ICU here at Vanderbilt Medical Center. She worked closely with those affected by ICU delirium in the hospital setting. Karen graduated Phi Theta Kappa from the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls, ID where she was honored to represent her fellow students as president of the Idaho Student Nurse Association. Along with daily research coordinator roles she will be stepping into a new role as patient family liason.
