Cara Donohue is a speech-language pathologist, an Assistant Professor, and Director of Medical Speech-Language Pathology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She completed her B.A. in speech-language-hearing sciences and M.A. in speech-language pathology at the University of Minnesota. Following this, she completed her Ph.D. in the Computational Deglutition Lab at the University of Pittsburgh and her post-doctoral research fellowship in the Aerodigestive Research Core Lab at the University of Florida. Her current research interests include instrumental methods of swallow screening and signal processing, presbyphagia and dysphagia in older persons, respiratory interventions to improve cough and swallowing in critically patients, and principles of exercise training in dysphagia rehabilitation.
