 Max Gunther, PhD
Neuroimaging & Neuropsychology Research Instructor
Max Gunther, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist who specializes in neuroimaging research in the Departments of Psychiatry and Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Emory University, received his masters and PhD in Clinical Psychology from The University of Georgia in 2005 and 2008 respectively, after completing a residency at the Vanderbilt/VA Psychology Consortium. Dr. Gunther was then a postdoctoral research fellow in the Vanderbilt Institute for Imaging Sciences (VUIIS). He is a member of the Cognitive Neuroscience Society, Sigma Xi - The Scientific Research Society and the American Psychological Association. In his current role at the Center for Health Services Research, Dr. Gunther designs and implements neuroimaging research aimed at understanding ICU delirium and its associated long-term cognitive impairment.
