Max Gunther, Ph.D. is a psychologist who specializes in neuroimaging research the Vanderbilt Center for Health Services Research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Emory University, received his masters and PhD in Clinical Psychology from The University of Georgia in 2005 and 2008 respectively, after completing a residency at the Vanderbilt/VA Psychology Consortium. He is a member of the Cognitive Neuroscience Society, Sigma Xi - The Scientific Research Society and the American Psychological Association. Currently Dr. Gunther is an NIH postdoctoral research fellow in the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Department of Radiological Sciences. In his current role at the Center for Health Services Research, Dr. Gunther designs and implements neuroimaging research aimed at understanding ICU delirium and its associated long-term cognitive impairment.
